From environmentally friendly packaging and recycling of waste paper & FSC/ PEFC certified pulp, Emami Paper turns renewable resources into products people rely on daily. We have constructed recharge wells with gravel filtration systems, for the replenishment of ground water.

Recharge Wells

At Emami Paper Mills, recharge wells play a vital role in the organization’s water sustainability initiatives. Total 20 recharge wells installed across the premises and each well is equipped with a gravel-based filtration system to ensure that only clean water enters the underground reservoirs. These structures help in capturing runoff during the monsoon season and redirecting it underground, reducing water wastage and improving the local water table.

The total annual recharge potential of these wells is approximately 26,03,874 m³, contributing to 77% of our total water drawl. This initiative reflects our commitment to responsible water management and supports our broader goal of achieving water circularity within mill operations.

Sustainability Waste Management

ETP sludge is utilized and fired as fuel along with coal in the power boiler.
